"We are committed to this project and it proves to be our most ambitious to date," Downey said. "Now that we have engaged design groups of the highest caliber, the town of Pahrump can be confident that we will be developing a unique, first class attraction." The project was presented to the Pahrump Town Board nearly five months ago and received a favorable response. "This complex is going to provide a lot of jobs that this community needs," said Town Board Member Steve Rainbolt. "It's also going to bring a lot of tourists to the RV park that the casino is going to provide." VPDC is now working to build small to medium sized projects and businesses to expand their corporation a little more as it grows. "We take pride in our ability to recognize the value in prospective businesses and real estate projects and recom- mend appropriate courses of action," Downey said. VPDC is working to develop into a large market company. Officials report that the corporation has already achieved gross sales of $9.1 million from a 54 unit townhouse project that was built in Pimberton, B.C. The project is 100 percent sold.
