Senior News TONOPAH SENIOR NEWS (702) 482-6450 ..... by Irene Cessna We have come to the end of another week and have enjoyed the beautiful weather we are having. Unbeliev- able, for this time of year. We enjoyed having Virginia Ridgway of Goldfield, Sandy and Yvonne Harman of Tonopah, Patty Ray from Caliente, John and Aloma Lofthouse from Utah visiting family and friends in the Tonopah and Round Mountain area. Four generations of Helen Reed's family, Duane, Wanda, Sarah, Caleb and Douglas Hollaway came from Idaho. Our guests are special to us. We look forward to visiting with them and talking about the "good old times." Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we are looking forward to the holiday. Our kitchen staff is hard at work making plans for this festive occasion and always goes that extra mile to make your dining a pleasure. Plan to join us. We know you will not be disappointed. We are so grateful for the donations we received from II wonderful people. Our thank you to Sue and Joe Fallina for the fresh veggies, Gil and Toshiko for the turkey, and two precious young ladies, Kathleen and Elizabeth who gave us their Halloween pumpkins. Thanks again for your support. It's a treat for us to have the 49ers here with their enthusiasm and friendly spirits. Our doors are always open to them. Our Christmas bazaar was a real success with a lot of lovely gift items for sale. One of those "Shop 'til you drop" occasions. Crafters donated great gifts to be given as raffle prizes which made a lot of people happy. Glad we had a good turn out. Amargosa and Pahrump were having simi- lar sales the same day, hope they did well too. USDA Commodities distribution day is Friday, No- vember 14, at the senior center, 9-11 a.m. only.
