GwendolynCurtis Thomas and Jackie
Gwendolyn Jean Curtis, 75, died October 15, 1997, in OlemanofEverett, Wash.
Tonopah. She was born on March 1, 1922, in Muscatine, Iowa.
A member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Tonopah,
she was active with the Clark County Children's Guild and
Angel Peak Youth Camp when she lived in Las Vegas. She was
a nine year resident of Tonopah.
She is survived by son, Reverend Kenneth E. Curtis of
Tonopah; daughter, Barbara Jean Gardener of Lubbock, Texas;
sister, Letty Heath of Walnut Creek, Calif.; brother, Robert
Syassink of North Highlands, Calif.; five grandchildren and 10
great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on October 25 at 1 p.m. at St.
Mark's Episcopal Church, Tonopah. Memorials have been
established with the Central Nevada Historical Society, P.O.
Box 326, Tonopah, Nev., 89049 and the Clark County
Childhaven in Las Vegas. Arrangements are being handled by
Gunter's Funeral Home in Tonopah.
Robert Halley
Robert Thomas Halley, 19, died on October 15, 1997, in a
rural Nye County automobile accident. He was born on
January 9, 1978, in Bishop, Calif.
He worked as an equipment operator in and attended school
in Round Mountain. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, camper
and guitar player. He was a resident of Round Mountain for 18
years.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Laurie Halley of
Round Mountain; brothers, Eric Steven Halley of Chicago, Ill.
and Michael Earl Halley of Rogers, Ark.; sister, Tamarah Idene
Halley ofReno, Nev.; paternal grandparents, Riley and Bonnie
Garcia of Livingston, Texas and maternal grandparents, Clifford
Services were held at the Round Mountain Community
Center. Arrangements were handled by Gunter's Funeral
Home in Tonopah.
Ina Campbell
Ina Lea Campbell, 74, died October 14, 1997, in Pahnmap,
Nevad She was born on June 21,1923, in Portalas, New Mexico.
A retired bookkeeper, she was a member of the Elks,
Bounders United RV Club, Dam Bounders Club, and F-Troop
and a resident of Pahrump for six years.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander L. Campbell of
Pahrump, sisters, Fonnette Sadler of Centre, Ala. and Estelle
Reckling of Ramona, Calif.; brother, William Landers of
Tucumcari, N.M.
Services were held at Oakridge landing with Pastor Billy
Martin officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of
flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of Nye
County.
Patricia 'cilicia" Zimmerman
Patricia Zimmerman, 45, died October 20, 1997, at Univer-
sity Medical Center in Las Vegas. She was horn May 26, 1952,
in Elmhurst, Illinois.
She was a five year resident of Las Vegas working as an
accountant and bookkeeper.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Endres and stepfa-
ther, Robert Endres of Pahrump; sister, Barbara J. Mullins of
Centerville, Va.
Arrangements are being handled by Palm Mortuary - Jones
of Las Vegas.
