Burnley's Birthday Bash Pahrumpians, looked like most )f the town, joined friends and family from further regions to help Pat and Roger Burnley celebrate their shared birthday at Ron Matheny's Short Branch Saloon in Crystal on Saturday, October 11, 1997. Western hospital- ity provided a party on a grand scale. Matheny hitched up his draft horse team to provide rides for delighted guests (see photo below). A western band played all the tight tunes for dancing and listen- ing. Clowns entertained with bal- loon tricks and clownin' around. Clearly the highlight was the mouthwatering, delicious barbeque with corn on the cob and all the fixings. A big cake fit right in with the generous amounts of food, entertainment and pure fun. Thank you and HAPPY BIRTH- DAY Pat and Roger (in photo on the left). The five cowboys in the big picture prefer tiding to wag- ons. L-R John Wayne Riggs with dog Lou, Reed Manning who's cap shows he wasn't one of the cowboys, Troy Young, Don Boyer, Lee Mickalson and Larry Young rode their horses from Pahrump to Crystal for the cel- ebration.
