WeU-known through- out Southern Nevada and Utah for her breathtaking panora- mas, Rannald will present a slide program at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, followed by a reception and poster signing, at the gallery. Rannald's work has grown out of a love and appreciation of the beauty revealed in nature. While pursuing her hobbies as a private pilot, hiker, skier and four-wheel enthusiast, she began to capture the beauty she encountered on film. Re- sponse to her images at exhibitions at Red Rock Canyon, Spring Mountain Ranch and other outdoor art festivals has been very positive. "When I see an image, I have an intuitive awareness that it will photograph well. By using the cameras to manipulate the light on the film, I create the scene as the artist strokes the paint with the brush from the palette to the canvas, "explains Rannald. Moonstruck Gallery and Rannald share a mutual passion for protecting our wilderness areas and a commitment to educating the public about its preservation. One of her fine art limited edition photo- graphs will be raffled to rais money for the Red Rock Can yon Interpretive Association, . an organization dedicated to education. Tickets are $5 each and are available at Moon- struck Gallery and other lo- cations throughout the val- ley. Moonstruck Gallery is lo- cated at 6322 West Sahara avenue at Torrey Pines. Gal- lery hours are 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Satur- day. For more information on the gallery or the upcom- ing exhibit and raffle, call (702) 364-0531 or (800) 421- 9133.
