The middle photo shows lions thought to be from a local exotic animal ranch that was near Homestead Road and owned by Jeanie Hinman at the time. A cub rides on top of the cage with 2 handlers. The bottom photo shows Lyle Christensen's crop dusting Cessna. This was the only year in which he "zig- zagged" over the parade. "A lotof people thought I would run into them," Christenn said as he described his antics' while entertaining the parade goers. If anyone has ever wondered what CAAS, the first road off of Hwy. 160 into Pahnnnp as you travel north, stands for, he offered, 'Christensen Aerial Application Service.' He ran the crop dusting business for approximately 24 years.
