Hwy 372, Pahrump, NV 89048 Domestic dispute ends in stabbing PAHRUMP--A domestic disruption ended in a multiple stabbing Monday afternoon in the 3500 block of Savoy Blvd. according to Nye County Sheriffs Sergeant Bill Becht. A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with attempted murder, resisting arrest, and injury to property. An unknown domestic dispute started the problem and the juvenile chased her mother's 30-year-old live-in boy- friend out of the house with a butcher knife and a pocket knife. She was allegedly able to stab the victim twice, once in the lower back and once in the abdomen. The victim ran into a neighbor's house and man- aged to have them call the Sheriff's department. The juvenile allegedly was an- gered more and started breaking windows and pounding on doors at the neighbor's house. The victim was reportedly sent to University Medical Center in Las Vegas and was listed in good condition. Becht also reported that the sister of the juvenile, upon seeing the officers try to subdue her with pepper spray, got angry and started attacking the officers. The sister was charged with obstructing an officer and child endangerment, as she was reportedly holding her 15-month- old baby at the time. In addition to the above, responding officers were allegedly attacked by the sister's boyfriend when he observed the above. The boyfriend was charged with resisting a public officer, battery on an officer, and injury to property alter he allegedly started kicking out windows in the officer's patrol car. The juvenile's bail was set at $502,105, the sister's at $4,105 and the boyfriend's at $9,090. Road Closure PAHRUMP--Dave Fanning, local supervisor of the Nye County Road Department announced some emergency road closures due to storm damage from last week. The Road Department is closing the Dandelion and Calvada intersection from 7 a.m. Thursday, September 11 until repairs are completed. One lane will be open on Calvada, north bound, but there will be a lot of congestion in the area and the Road Department urges motorists to drive slowly, expecting slowdowns. They may have the repairs completed in only one day. The roadway in the area has collapsed and spokespersons believe there is some involvement with phone lines under ground. Road Department and Nevada Bell crews will be on the scene. Another problem area is on Homestead Road from Elderberry to Gamebird. It will not be closed but there is gravel on the roadway from the flooding and crews have to remove it and make minor repairs. Motorists are still speeding along the area and causing hazardous conditions, though speed limits are posted at 35 mph, according to Fanning.
