The Pahrump Valley Speedway, once again Saturday
night held races with much excitement and fun as the fans
cheered on for their favorite drivers to fight their way through
fl)r the checkered flag.
The first heat was the IMCA division. The wild racers had
lined up as the green flag had been waved with car number 75,
Jim Justice in the in the first place spot until he had spun out
on the third turn of the track leaving Leland Hibdon, Number
24, in the lead and keeping it tor the win, with number 00, Jim
Wulfenstein in second and Dave Erwin, number 08 in third.
The second race of the night was another IMCA heat,
starting off with number 82, Brad Hopper in the lead and
keeping his head start to the end of the race, with Jason Pike,
number 23 coming from the fourth slot to finish second
behind Hopper, and leaving number 81, Robin Ruud in third

lace.
After the first two IMCA races came the Street Stock
racing with three different races in their division.
The first Street Stock race started with number 9, Evert
Jones in first place until number 13, Alan Levinson sped
through to pass Jones tor the lead and taking the checkered
flag for the win with Jones in second, and the number 2 car,
Tom Baird in third.
The second heat for the Street Stock started off with
number 74, Mike Nesteby in the first place slot. He had
gotten passed by Michael Hildebrand, number 17, and
had kept his place to cross the finish line with number 46,
Homer Rush tailing behind him. In third place, came
number 007, Terry Sligar.
The Street Stock's third heat began with number 78,
Dannie Holding in front with Jimmy Kimball Jr., number
0 in second, but to pass Holding to take the lead. Number
3, Levi Keifer, quickly made his way up to pass Kimball
and to take his first place lead to cross the checkered flag,
number 52, Anthony DeBiase then took second, and
Kimball grabbed third.
The next two heats were
the trophy races starting out
with the IMCA race. The
race began with Leland
Hibdon (24) in first place,
with Jason Pike (23) in sec-
ond, and Jim Wulfenstein
(00) in third place.

was the Street Stock heat,
which began with Michael
Hildebrand (17) in front,
but then got passed by the
speedy number 13, Alan
Levinson's truck that eas-
ily took the win, with
Hildebrand in second,

Levi Kiefer the number 3 car in third.
After the two trophy races came the kid's Go-Kart
race, which involved two races. The first heat was the 8
to 9 year olds and won by number 1, Johnny Hoover, who
took home a new trophy.
The Second race was the 10 to 13 year olds which was
easily won by the familiar number 24, E.J. Salizar.
The next and last two races were the IMCA and Street
Stock main lap race. The first main lap heat was raced by
the IMCA division, which had started with the number
08 car driven by Dave Erwin in the lead. Behind Erwin
was a lot of excitement with all the cars battling to catch
up with each other, but near the end was Jason Pike (23)
to pull up into first, and to fight to keep his lead for the
win with number 87a, Jim Perkins in second.
The last race of the evening was the Street Stock main
lap race with number 007 Terry Sligar starting out in
front. Keifer (3) came from a spot way in back and raced
his way up the middle to pull in front early on in the race.
Keifer then kept his lead through the rest of the race and
crossed the checkered flag with Levinson (13) coming in
second.
