August is usually the hottest month of the year, but so far
Mother Nature is treating us well. The temperatures have
been wonderful throughout the day and the evenings just right
for sleeping. We certainly cannot complain.
We are so pleased to have Waily Glassmyer on our staff.
Wally is our new dishwasher and the cooks in the kitchen
really keep him hopping. Hang in there Wally, hopefully it
will get better.
On Tuesday we celebrated July birthdays. Happy birthday
wishes to Estella Chapman, Laurence Labarthe, Ray

On Thursday, we gathered together to say farewell to Van

Senior Nutrition Director. Mrs. Crawford has worked for Nye
County for 17 years with the Nye County Senior Centers. A
beautiful plaque was presented to Van by Project Council
member Ray Tennant expressing sincere gratitude for her
tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to the Tonopah
Senior Center. Congratulations Van, enjoy your retirement.
You deserve it.
Joining us for Van's party was Lea Bradshaw, Rachel
Nicholson, Naoma Lydon, Pat Foster, Trish Ripple and Jo

us. We hope they enjoyed their time with us.
Our thank you to Laurence Labarthe for the food items. We
