California Desert Areas Friday... Skies will be mostly clear during the night and morning hours.,.Partly cloudy in the after- noon and evening with a slight chance ofthunderstorms..,Mainly eastern deserts. Lows will range from the upper 50s to mid 60s in the Owens Valley to the 70s southern deserts. Highs ranging from the mid 90s in the Owens Valley to 105 to 110 Death Val- ley. Saturday...Skies will be mostly clear during the night and morning hourL.Partly cloudy in the afternoon and evening with a chance of thunderstorms..Mainly eastern deserts. Lows will range from the uplxa'50s to mid 60s in the Owens  Valley to the 70s southern deserts. Highs ranging from the mid 90s in the Owens Valley to 105to 110. Pahrump PAHRUMP-- Students wishing to participate in extracurricular activities in the Pahrump Valley Schools during the upcoming school year should begin preparing to do so. Each student must have an annual physical exam prior to beginning practice. There are also numerous other forms that must be completed by the student and her/ his parents or guardians prior to the student practicing. The form packets are available at Pahrump Valley High School and Rosemary Clarke Middle School, 7-11 a.m.; 12-3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Physical exams are available by Dr. Steve Foster at PVHS on August 12. Male exams will be conducted from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and female exams from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. Exam forms should be completed prior to the exam and are required to have parents or guardians signatures. Cost of the exam Valley School Athletics will be $10 per student and is payable at the time of the exam. The exam may be completed by any licensed practitioner and is the responsibility of the student to complete. Students wishing information concerning specific activities should contact the coach or advisor of that activity. Coaches/Advisors for fall activities are: Football --Mr. Gary Findley ,727-1069; Volleyball, Ms. Susan Toomer, 727-9401, Girls Golf -- Ms. Julie Floyd -- 727-5848; CheerleadingJDrill Team, Ms. Terri Wulfenstein, 727-4374. Middle School activities will not begin until after the beginning of the school year, for more information call 727-5546. High School football practice will officially begin on August 14 with all other High School activities beginning on August 18. Parent informa- tional meetings will be scheduled as required.
