"First Strike," frenzy stunts

Jackie Chan is a super hero like no other, and "First Jackie is not better at the martial arts, he is just faster. If

Chan does all of his own stunts, which saves on the cost
of a double, but must run the studio a fortune in vitamins.
With the films purpose being action and more action
what there isn't much of is a story line. There is a vague
script about a spy and atomic weapons being sold and the
Russian mafia, and a love interest. But all the character are
one dimensional. The good guys are all good, the "bad"
good are just rotten, the counterspy only seems to be at the
counter he is presently spying on, and the love interest
doesn't love. Her most contact with hero Chan is when she
kicks him in the shins.
If you want action, rent "First Strike," if you want story
and plot rent "The Crucible." Grumpy's video has both.
Of course this film is not rented because of its Nobel
prize- winning writers, it is rented for action and there is
plenty of that.
A rule for enjoyment on a Jackie Chan film is don't take
any of it seriously. There are spoof of the James Bond flicks
as well as the "Kung-Fu" types.
