Letters to the Editor Pall/Jap,V,.ffhla, Jo 3 ,,,$,,99't11 i Hard working people There are some very hard working people in Pahrump after all. After a long while, our windows needed cleaning beau coup as I'm not able to do them myself now, I called "Two Gals Clean'n". Sandy, the owner, returned my call, came out to check the windows, then soon after, three very nice ladies, Denies, Monique and Sheila, came and what a beautiful job they did. They were wonderful and I will highly recommend any of them for any cleaning to be done. I am delighted we have this business here now, as before when I called around to different ones and left messages, no one returned my calls. A big thank you, Sandy and gais. G.P. Pahrump Thanks to Kiwanis Club I would like to thank the men and women of the Kiwanis Club for giving up two Saturdays of their time to wash and paint the senior center. You all did a good job, I hope it does not get graffitti on it as someone as H-L put graffitfi_ou two of the decorations inside, We have a few seniors who act like children and never had anything nice of their own. So they go around destroying others. Tllanit you CJ, More should attend Town meetings Many citizens of Pahrump have gradually become aware of highly improper behavior by the TownBonrd, although a relative few actually board . It is not hard to see the truth ifone merely observes with the critical mind of an owner. Don't we all own our govemmem? Who ever said our servants should run amok unsupervised? The Board is, in fact, a pmmotim ann of the local business community and a cornucopia of minor socialist largess. Using the tax money of all Pahrumpians, the Board acts to provide employment for a small group of public workers of questionable necessity, to sporadically dispense an assortment of goodies for relatively small special interest groups, and to simulate a quasi-city government which serves to snow some ignorant retirees movingto Pahrump from the give-away capital of the west, California. Theoretically, these new customers for business have been inculcated with the idea that govemnumt provides all mariner of freebies. Devel- opers and the like wouldn want to disappoint them and love the idea that all of the townspeople will pay the bill. Despite the fact that incorporation was defeated by the voters, a simulated city of Pahrump is the order of the day. This was in effect even before the vote! The codified laws of the United States, based on the Constitution, to which all local jurisdictions are subject, are boldly ignoied by these amateurs. They hide behind reliance upon the bad advice of Town Attorney Len Smith. The truth is, they are no more than petty dictators determined to satisfy their special interest friends. If more citizens who aren't motivated by the gimmy- gimmy disease would attend public meetings the cat might jump out of the bag. Currently the majority in attendance are people who want to promote pet projects and to enjoy a kind of groupie sycophant camaraderia. What a sick hobby! The local newspapers do report some of what is going on but clear exposure of malfeasance on the Board is limited by unfamiliarity with the law, reluctance to be tough and thus appearing "mean-spirited," plus a possible fear of annoying advertisers. All of the people of Pahrump should know that each member of the Pahrump Town Board is suspect of being incompetent or criminal or both to varying degrees. Don't be too shocked. They all demonstrate ignorance as a subset of the aforementioned incompetence. Evidently, common crime is to be punished but "official" crime is to he accepted. The ideal Town Board member should speak and vote against all socialism (theft) and then speak and vote for the reduction of taxation to a minimum. The people are always best suited to spend their own money. Local government loves to duplicate the growth and savage summary authority demonstrated by the reds. It was and is wrong for the reds and the same goes for the local official hacks. For Professional Citizenship Paul Miller Pahrump Save us from mistakes Have you ever gone to the market and, either by design or through a mistake, been shortchanged? If so, then subsequent shopping may remind you to habitually request of the clerk: "would you please make the mistake in my favor?" Sadly, more and more people are becoming suspicious that our govemm,nt has been making tetr/ble mistakes, again, some by design, others through sheer in-always to the detriment of the Americ, ma taxpayers. They are ex- tremelycoacomod andateasking:'!What the hell isgoingca, anyway?" Could there, indeed, be a groepofpowerfut insid- ers within our midst to so alter our American traditiom ami ns, as we'veknowntheundertheof'chgc?" Felix Frankfurter, justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, cautioned us earlie, tlffs century: 'realrulendnWashing,- ton are invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes." Recent editions of the Review-Jonrnal mentioned "Foreign Affairs" magazine. This is a monthly put out by the private, semi-secret "Council on Foreign Relations." Very few Ameri- cans are aware of this outfit and its hidden agendas. A brief review of the "mistakes" made by members of the CFR, and the affect they have had or we, the people, might help t clarify them and to awaken us: Henry A Kissinger (CFR), President Nixon's Secretary of State, who negotiated our surrender in Vietnam; Robert Strange McNamara (CFR), Secretary of Defense, under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. Some 55,000 brave Americans died in Vietnam due to this ego-maniacal "whiz-kid" who should he tried as a war crimi- nal and who admits in his blood money-making book --- "I made a few mistakes." In who's favor?. Guy Rexford Tugwell (CFR), who wrote the 641-page, "Emerging Constitution," and "A Constitution for the World;" Henry Steel Commager (CFR) and his "The Constitution of Interdependence;" Walter Cronkite (CFR), longtime TV an- chorman, who wrote a best seller, "A Reporter's Life," and who stated, "I don't believe the public has rejected liberal- ism," "I had trouble with (Ronald Reagan's) philosophy'," and, "World Government would be preferable to 'mindless national sovereignty !" That should scare the daylights out of anyone, who believes and adheres to our precious U.S. Constitution and the great patriots, who gave it to us! James Earl Carter (CFR), U.S. president, who gave our valuable property, the Panama Canal, away---after American taxpayers built it at great cost! Also forced the illegal (in total violation of the 10th Amendment) Department of Education upon us, as a reward to the National Education Association for its $7 million donation to his 1976 campaign, contrary to the desires of the dues paying members! "Mistakes" in who's favor? George Bush (CFR) U.S. president, who lied to us taxpay- ers, "Read my lips---no new taxes!" Also gave billions of our tax money to foreign aid leeches! More hi-partisan "mis- takes" in whose favor? Not mine! William Jefferson Clinton (CFR), U.S. president. How was it that this man was welcomed, with open arms, into the inner sanctum of the Kremlin in 1972, during the height of the cold war, when the only other American to get red carpet treatment was Marxist and wealthy, by inheritance, Armand Hammer? When our own officials had to undergo stringent checks by the communists! What about "Slick Willie's" continuous campaign slogan to bring us "Change?" Never, ever has he clarified to we Americans, what it shall mean. Could it be socialism and the merging of our great country into a dispicable, One World Government? Or, might it become just another "mistake"--in whose favor? Admiral Chester Ward (Ret.), former Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy and a memher of the Council on Foreign Relations, for nearly 20 years, became so enraged at what he witnessed inside this organization, that he wrote a book exposing its agenda thusly: "The CFR has as a goal' submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful one world governmenf!" He wrote that "this list to surrender the sovereignty andindependence of the U.S. is pervasive throughout most of thc.hip--" And he added: "In the entire CFR lexicon, there is no term of lsioncarrying a meani so dp as ' first' :" Are we being magged? Big time. rm aftaid What can people doto fightthis treaehous conspiracy? Arm themselves with the truth-yea, it is very difficult after being lied to for so long, but as Thomas Paine, the legendary American hem stated- "I am only one--I cannot do every- thing, Imt l can da something.", Just as the communists, the mafia and other criminais--the CFR cannot stand public exposure of their sinister, murky designs. By all means, go to the library and obtain the magazine, "Foreign Affairs," and study it. Then supply yourselves with "The Shadows of Power--the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Decline," by/ames Perloff. "Global Tyr- anny---Step by Step---The United Nations and the Emerging New World Order," by William F. Jasper. And. "The Insid- ers," by John McManus. If unavailable from the library, they can be purchased from the publisher, Western Islands: P.O. Box 8040, Appleton, W154913. Or call: (414)749-3786. Your very precious freedoms may depend on this knowl- edge and what you do with it! And, at the very least---a massive demand for a congressional investigation of this nefarious gang is long overdue.
