David Nusbaum of Pahrump has two hobbies that are
among the oldest in the history of man -- leathercraft and
wood-working. Nusbaum has been working with leather for
over 30 years and has entered competition against
leathercrafters from all over the world. He has won many
awards ranging from honorable mention to best-of-show.
Nusbaum completed the A1 Stohlman home study course
many years ago and is a certified instructor of leathercraft.
Nusbaum started his woodworking only four years ago
and, in his own words, has gone from wood butchery to scroll-
saw artistry. He has made many wooden items, from kids'
toys to collector's items. His woodworking features many
different designs of clocks from simple to intricate. Nusbaum
does custom orders and has now established his business, D
& A Crafts. To see his work, call evenings at 727-1571 to

AA Art's officially opened for business in Pahrump last
month. Art Jones is the proprietor. Although he still owns a
business in Las Vegas, Jones moved to enjoy the quieter style
of living in Pahrump.
AA Art's offers a full auto repair and parts business at

because he loves the work.
While featuring quick lubes and tune-ups, Jones does have
an employee for heavier major auto repairs. The business has
been very busy with minor repairs, lubes, etc.

' Bloomingdeals, which is family owned and operated by
Linda Listen and Gerald and Trina Stidham, has moved to a
new location next to Domino's Pizza. Bloomingdeals handles
quality, pre-owned clothing for the entire family. The new
location is larger and enables them to offer shoes, including
brand-name new shoes for the entire family.
Bloomingdeals handles clothes and small household items
on consignment. The clothing and shoes have to be in mint
condition or never worn and the household items must also be
in like-new condition.
Bloomingdeals first opened June 8, 1996. Patti Babcock
was the first consignment client. She was recently presented
with a gift certificate in honor of Bloomingdeals' first anni-
versary.
Bloomingdeals will be having weekly drawings for its
customers. Girl certificates and layaways are available and
soon Mastercard and Visa cards will be honored. A grand
opening at the new location
is planned soon.
