A m ' Paula Scott Funeral services for Paula Kay Hibbert Hafen Scott will be held Thursday, May 29, 1997 at First Southern Baptist Church in Beatty and at Pahnnnp Valley Cemetery. A 37-year Pahrump resident, she died Sunday, May 25, 1997 in a Las Vegas hospital. She was 43. Born Feb. 23, 1954 in Blythe, Calif., she worked as asales person at her father's business, Hafen & Hafen Realty Co. Brokers, in Pahrump. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Scott of Pahrump; parents, Tim and Jackie Hafen of Pahrump; sons, Anthony and Nicholas Scott of Las Vegas; brother, Gregory T. Hafen of Las Vegas; sisters, Vicki Hafen-Scott of Gardnerville, Dr. Jane Hafen-Pedersen of Oakland, Calif., Sandra Hafen-Frehner of Las Vegas, and Lisa Hafen-Hamrick of Pahrump; and grandmother, Helen Christian of Pahrump. Visitation is May 29 from 10-11 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church, Hwy 374, Beatty, followed by services at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be at Pahnmap Valley Cemetery. Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne of Las Vegas is handling the arrange- ments. Eileen E. Montieth Eileen ElaineMontieth, aone-year resident of Pahrump, died May 16,1997 in aLas Vegas hospital. She was 72. She was horn July 27, 1924 in Susanviile, Calif. She was a member of the Genealogy Club and had worked as a machinist in the screen n-inting industry. Michael "Sparky" Meoli Michael Meoli of Pahrump died May 25, 1997 at his home. He was 94. Born June 27, 1902 in Norristown, Pa., he was a member of the Teamsters Union and had been retired after being a driver for the National Cylinder Co. He is survived by sons Frank O. Meoli of Las Vegas, Don J. Meoli of Pahrump; brother, Louis Meoli of Las Vegas; and sister, Lena Russo of Blackhorse, Pa. A memorial service will be held May 30 at 1 p.m. at the Desert Memorial Chapel, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North Las Vegas. Neptune Society of Nye County in Pahrump is handling the arrangements, Robin Dorand, director. Burton R. Dyer Services for Burton Ross Dyer, 64, with full military honors, will be held May 30, 1997 at 10:45 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. He died May 21, 1997 in a Las Vegas hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1932 inWaco, Texas, he was a 21/2-year Pahrump resident after coming from Las Vegas. A retired Marine, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Linda Dyer of Pahrump; sons, Burton Kenneth Dyer of California, Christopher Dyer of Florida, and Alan Barnett of Memphis, Tenn.; daughters, Margo Sue Dyer of Hawaii, Cathy Meza of Temecula, Calif., Linda Brooks of California. and Sephanie Barnett of Pahrump; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Neptune Society of Nye County, Pahrump, is handling arrangements, Robin Dorand, director. Wayne R. Schultz Wayne Roy Schultz, a one-year resident of Pahrump, died May 23, 1997. He was 44. Born Oct. 17, 1953 in Odessa, Texas, he had previously lived in Las Vegas where he worked as a cook at Binion's Horseshoe. He served three years in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Pahrump; sons, James and Donny Schultz of Pahrump; father, Harvey Schultz of Markel, Texas; mother, Neva Underwood of Colorado City, Texas; and in-laws, Martin and Lou Williams of Pahnamp. Coleman will be held on Saturday, May 31, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Moose Lodge, 2nd and Center streets. He died in a Las Vegas hospital on May 8,1997. Born Aug. 28, 1921 in Tennessee, he was a resident of Pahrump since 1981. He is survived by a sister, Blanche French of Pahrump, brother-in-law, Bill French ofPahrump, and nephews, Mark and Kim French of Pahrump. A former truck driver, he was an Army veteran and a member of Moose Lodge 808, the Elks and American Legion. Chrystal L. Carpenter GOLDFIELD  A memorial service for Crystal "Becky" Lucille Carpenter, 64, who died at her home on May 18,1997, was held May 21 at the Goldfield Baptist Church. A 24-year resident of Goldfield, she was born on Oct. 28, 1932, in San Juan, Texas. She was a former chief deputy assessor for Esmeralda County. She is survived by daughters, Teresa Edayan of Tonopah, Angela Merrill ofMarysvine, Ky.; brother, Carl M. Eastwood of Rosenherg, Texas; and eight grandchildren. Interment will he at a later date in the Goldfield Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of Gunter's Fu- neral Home, Tonopah. Dorothy A. Conus TECOPA, Calif. -- Dorothy Adeline Conus, 83, a 24Syear resident of Tecopa, died on May 12, 1997. A retired garment manufacturer and avid rock-hound, she was born Sept. 8, 1913 in Platte City, Mo. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Lee Conus of Tecopa; son, Warren Conus of Tecopa; daughter, LeAnne Conus of Beatty; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
