FOR BIDS
The Superintendent of the
Nye County School District,
Tonopah, Nevada will re-
ceive sealed bids at the Of-
fice of the County Superin-
tendent, Military Circle, P.O.
Box 113, Tonopah, Nevada
89049, up until 4 p.m. on
Wednesday May 7, 1997 for
the furnishing of Lot 5 Dupli-
cator Paper and Lot 6 Milk
and Dairy Products, to vari-
ous schools of Nye County
School District, pursuant to
the specifications on file with
the County Superintendent,
Tonopah, Nevada.
Separate bids will be taken
on each item. Each envelope
must be sealed with the ap-
propriate item you're bid-
ding marked on the outside
of the envelope. The open-
ing of the bids will be on May
8,1997 at the following times:
Lot 5 Duplicator Paper at 9:15
a.m. and Lot 6 Milk and Dairy
Products at 9:30 a.m. Award
of the contract is scheduled
for the May 21, 1997 Board of
Trustees meeting.
These contracts are to be
in full force from July 1, 1997
until June 30, 1998.
The Board of Trustees of
the Nye County School Dis-
trict reserves the right to re-
ject any or all bids and to
accept the bid which it feels is
in the best interest of the area
to be served and/or the School
District.

Legal Advertisement
The County Commissioners of Nye
County will hold a budget hearing on the
1997-98 tentative budgets for Nye County,
the Towns of Beatty, Amargosa, Manhat-
tan, and Beatty General Improvement Dis-
trict at 10:30 a.m., at the Commissioners
meeting to be held at the Amargosa Com-
munity Center in Amargosa Valley on May
19, 1997. The budgets are on file in the
office of the County Clerk for public inspec-
tion. The tentative budgets have been pre-
pared on forms as prescribed by the State of
Nevada Department of Taxation.
The following is a summary of the tenta-
tive budget for Nye County;
Total All Funds:
General Government, $26,449,778; Pub-
lic Safety, $5,083,656; Judicial, $2,523,142;
Public Works, $6,093,070; Health, ,
$1,189,370; Sanitation, $565,045; Wel-
fare, $1,118,793; Culture and Recreation,
$95,662; Community Support,
$2,839,239; Intergovernmental Expen-
ditures, $198,803; Airports, $88,401;
Contingencies, $435,694.
