Driving an '84 Camaro owned by Wyatt Ehrp of Dirt Works, Kiefer started in 12th position and finished one- half lap ahead of another Pahrumpian, Homer Rush. Kiefer had taken command from Rush on the fourth lap to register his easy victory in the 25-lap main. Earlier Kiefer had won the first heat race of the night and the Trophy Dash later on. He distanced himself from Tom Baird, and six others, in the point standings. Baird developed car problems after finishing a dismal sixth in the semi-main. Jim Perkins of Ft.
