(Drug Resistance Awareness Education) students at J.G. Johnson elementary school (March 27) for the final time. Her announcement of her promotion to de- tective, came at the end of the annual graduation ceremony held for students who successfully complete the DARE program. Redmond has been teaching elementary school children about the dangers of drugs for the last 7 years. "It was a tough decision to make," said an emotional Redmond. After the ceremony was over, she was greeted with hugs from a r number of stu- dents who appar- ently did not want her to move on.
