Spring will officially be here in a very few days and we
are looking forward to it. Now it will be time for outdoor
activities and back breaking yard work. But, anyone that
enjoys being outside will be elated. Yard work can be
troublesome but think of the exercise you will be getting.
The Social Security representative will be at the Center
on Monday, April 7 at 1 P.M.. Do remember they only come
to Tonopah quarterly so if you need to see him, be sure to
call the Center so we can add your name to the roster.
Welcome back to Charlene Causey, our wonderful
Kitchen Aide/Salad Maker. We sure did miss her and pleased
to know she is feeling her old self again. And our thank you
to Alice Alanis who came to our rescue in out time of need.
Many of our seniors are still plagued with the flu virus,
sore throats, common colds and other illnesses. Will this
ever go away? On the sick list is Inez Ciarlantini, Katie
Wilson and Estelle Chapman. We send our love to them
and wish them a speedy recovery. We miss our Seniors when
they are not with us for lunch. And, we always look for-
ward to their return.
Joining us for lunch this past week was Angle and Rick
Blakemore of Walker Lake. We ahvays enjoy visiting with
our old fliends and what better place to gather than your
Senior Center. We also enjoy having Frank Reda, and
Brenda Wilson both fi'om Tonopah. and John Wellborn, Bob
Rude and Coreen Bell of Goldpoint.
Thank you to Phyllis Sorhouet of DARE for those
scrumptious cookies. It didn't take us long to devour them.
Sure did make the coffee break a delight. Thanks again.
