TONOPAH SENIOR N-s
(702) 482-6450
We are all looking forward to the month of March in hopes
our weather will change for the better. We have been get-
ting up to snow every morning all week long. Not a good
way to start our day.
In spite of the cold weather, we have had a good turnout
for lunch, and this week brought us several guests. We
were pleased to have Erma Funk from Pahrump, Jess Eades
of Tonopah, Connie Gates and Bernice Johnson of Gold-
field, and Bob and Ann Harris. Mr. Harris is the Pastor of
the Grace Baptist Church of Tonopah. They have recently
moved to Tonopah from Wyoming, and we welcome them
to our Community. Joining Martha and Ken Allain for lunch
was Ken's brother Cecil and wife Rosalie and sister Dor-
othy Zobel from Tucson, Arizona. We really enjoyed our
brief visit with them.
Today, we celebrated February birthdays. Those hon-
ored were Katie Wilson, Rosemary Call. Eunice Downs,
Esther Egoscue, Mary Godfrey, Shirley McKay. Mac
Duhm*, and George Rohhnan. Guess what - Katie was the
only one present. We send our birthday wishes to all and
hope they had a glorious birthday.
We have done well on the sales of our cookbooks, but
sales are slowing down so we ask your help in getting this
fund-raising project back on track. Drop in and pick one
up and tell our friends to do likewise. If you like to cook,
you will find these recipes a joy to try.
The Tonopah Diabetic Support Group will be holding
their monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 12 at 1 p.m.
here at the Center. Plan to attend and bring a friend.
