00c'B-dl-rtproof" Is No
IOrdinary Buddy Pic
by Barney Basin , ,¢
Gazette Reviewer ,,,
To classify "Bulletproof.' as
a salt and pepper buddy film,
would be the same as saying
Darth Vader and Hans Solo \\;
are pals. If you can accept one
buddy as a four-flushing f'mk,
Ihen you could call this a
)udd pic.
In this flick Damon Wayans
and Adam Sandier appear as
a couple of small time hoods.
However, things are not as
they appear because one is involved in a major drug smug-
gling ring and the other is an undercover cop.
During a drug bust true identifies are revealed, and then
like lovers in the standard Harlequin romance plots, they
hate each other, save each other's lives and are reunited.
Not only are the two main players in this film not as they
appear, but many of the supporting cast are good-bad-guys.
Remember Basin's basic rule for film viewers; "Trust no
ne."
Two veterans actors who add greatly to the film are James
Farrentino as the top cop and James Caan as the dastardly
dirty dealer of drugs and used cars.
"Bulletproof.' is interlaced with violence and raunchy
language which is why it has an "R" rating.
Even though the characters are a bit unbelievable, Wayans
and Sandier do their best to
I I make it a smooth film

There
is
needed to enjoy "Bulletproof" so
set your mind on cruise control,
t sit back, trust no one, and prepare
to enjoy the evening with this video.
