You only have a few more days to purchase your tickets
for the beautiful crocheted tablecloth we are raffling on
Thursday, February 13. If you have not seen it, you have
missed your chance. The tablecloth was crocheted by Rose
Hogan and donated to the Senior Center for a fund-raising
project. It is a beautiful work of art. Thanks again Rose for
your kind thoughts.
Keep watching for activity to start with the landscaping
of the Senior Center grounds. The Master Gardener's Club
of Tonopah are volunteering their time and expertise in
drafting the layout of shrubs, trees and flowers that would be
suitable as well as attractive for the grounds. The crew came
by Wednesday to have a look/see and were pleased to have
them here for lunch. The group consisted of Trish Ripple,
Jane Hutchings, Jo Payne, Peggy Smith, Carl and Tina
Price, Nancy Mason, and Viola Whipperman. We will be
keeping close tabs on this group and anxiously awaiting
reports as to the progress of the planning.
We often overlook the behind the scene volunteers who
donate their time in giving a helping hand when needed.
One in particular is Norm Swayze, hubby of the Thrift Shop
Manager, Pat Swayze. Since they have been in the remod-
eling stage at the store, Norm has spent many, many hours
doing honey-do's for wife
Pat. Better hang on to
that guy "Patricia." Guys
like that are hard to find.
Thanks a lot Norm for all
your work and support.
Our thank you to the
Barr Family for their food
donations. We appreci-
ate your thoughtfulness
and support.
We enjoyed having
Phyllis Crouch and
Kathryn Rogers from
Goldfield join us for
lunch. And Harry and
Raquel Collins, and our
dear friends from Nye Re-
gional Medical, Jean and Mac Duhme, Jean Smith, Ken
Friedly, with volunteers Shirley Cain and Cathy Mihal.
We will be closed Monday February 17 in observance of
President's Day, but we'll be back on Tuesday for a great
week with all our friends.

Friday (2/14): Fish or second offer

Pahrump Fruit Stand honey dews. Not the kind husbands
do. Warren Andelta Cady fresh lemons. To those that
donated mugs to the center. Charles and Helen Holtz for the
grapefruit juice. Thanks to you all from us all!.
A big welcome back to Bruce and Dorothy Dotby. Hi
Santa Claus.
Birthday night is February 26. Happy Birthday to the
following: Mae Vasser, Bud Cortner, Bob Reagle. Hope
you will all join us.
We need to have another item clarified. I guess you all
didn't read the article when I spoke of it before. We have the
serving trays to help us with the portion control that we must
have. This is an order from Division of Aging, also it makes
it easier for some of our participants to carry, rather than the
heavy plates. The smaller light weight salad dishes were
ordered for the same reason, those that feel they are not
getting enough are welcome, on salad, to go back for
seconds.
Don't forget the Council meeting on Tuesday, February
25 at 5:30 p.m.
MENU:

Wednesday (2/19): Roast pork
Thursday (2/20): Scalloped potato with hamburger steak
