additions to staff
The Pahrump Valley Gazette is proud'
to introduce our readers to four new staff
members. Cathy Cressler, 1995 Pahrump
Chamber of Commerce President and this
year's Harvest Festival publicity chairman,
has joined the Pahrump Valley Gazette as a
reporter and proofreader. With over 20
years experience in publishing, Cathy is a
tbrrner editor of Pahrump Valley Maga-
zine. Cathy and her husband Fred moved to
Pahrump almost five years ago. Cathy will
report on the Pahrump Hospital District and

Ann Smart has joined the Pahrump Val-
ley Gazette as an advertising secretary. A
former realtor, Ann also worked as a systems
analyst for the president of the University of
California at Santa Barbara. Ann is a world
traveler thanks to her husband's occupation as
a self-employed drilling consultant. For ex-
ample, the Smart's lived in Indonesia for over
two years. The Smart's have lived in Pahrump
for six years and look forward to having their
thirteen grandchildren come visit.
Ann Nusbaum and Jewell

sales force. They have already
proved themselves to be go-
getters. Nusbaum has resided
in Pahrump for over two
years. A former resident of
Michigan, Ann and her hus-
band David are active in the
local Eagles and American
Legion service clubs. Jewell
is new to Pahrump having
arrived last October. A re-
tired school teacher, the en-
ergetic former Rhode Island
resident says she looks for-
ward to meeting people and
the unique experience of liv-
ing in the valley. A member
of several organizations, in-
cluding the Rhode Island His-
torical Society, the
Blackstone Valley Teachers
Association and the Rhode
Island Teachers Association.
Jewell is also a member of
the Pahrump Valley Squares
and is a lector at St. Martin's
Episcopal Church in
Pahrump.
The Pahrump Valley
Gazette is moving forward to
the new millennium with an
optimistic outlook. Look for
future changes that will de-
light readers from all walks
of life.
