Some folks have started the year in great shape while others are not so fortunate. Troubled times seem to be upon them and there seems to be no end to problems. About all one can do is "hang in there" and hope things will take a turn for the better. We must remember that every cloud has a silver lining and eventually the sun will come shining through. Welcome back to Florence Robinson and Ruby Kniefel. Florence was visiting her son in Minden and Ruby was with her daughter in Reno when the raging flood waters swept the Reno/Minden area. It was several days before they were able to get back to good old Tonopah, and they were very happy to be back in the comfort of their own home. Our guests this past week were Barbara Barlow and Alzo McCardle from Mina. Barbara's daughter was the winner of the "Nevada Quilt" drawing, Mary Fields and Mildred Laurence, Jerry. and Wayne Wallace, and Myrtle McKinney. So nice to have our friends return for a visit to our Center. Our thank you to Ben and Juanita Colvin for the girl subscription to Range Magazine for all to enjoy. We will be closed on Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Enjoy the holiday.
