The meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are held at the Bob Ruud Community Center at Basin and Hwy. 160. Included on the agenda are the following items: * Presentation and discussion of site plan for new shopping center located at Basin and Hwy. 160. * Election of a chairperson, vice-chair, and clerk. Charlie Gronda and Gary Hollis join Charlotte LeVar, Steve Rainbolt and Bob Little to form the new board. Liaison appointments will be made as well. * Dan Simmons, Director of the Com- munity College of Southern Nevada, will report on recent course expansion and vari- ous issues concerning the college. * Bob Holleman of the Chamber of Commerce will report on future concerns of the Pahrump Arena. * There will be a discussion, action and decision concerning the ambulance ser- vice in Pahrump. * There will be a discus- sion, action and decision re- garding the League of Cities and Towns. * There will be a final discussion, action and deci- sion regarding the contract for vehicle maintenance. * There will be a discus- sion, action and decision re- garding the work bid on the community swimming pool. * There will be a discus- sion, action and decision re- garding the temporary estab- lishment of a task force to address the Business License Ordinance. *Ad business license; there will be a dis- cussion, action and decision on including the possibility of hiring an ordinance enforce- ment officer for the business license and other town ordinances. * Ad business license, part 2, there will be a discussion, action and decision regarding the expiration date of individual businesses licenses. In additional town news, Fire Chief Vern Long has established a command structure for the volunteer department. Steve Duga is the paid assistant chief and oversees administration. Under Long and Duga, three additional assistant chiefs have been named. Steve Maison will oversee train- ing; Cameron McRae will manage operations; and Scott Farthing will handle fire investiga- tions.
