Tecopa Crafts Bazaar The Tecopa SeniorProgram is having an Arts and Crafts Bazaar and Flea market on Sat- urday, February 8, 7 .m. to 2 p;m. It will be at the Hurlbutt Rook Community Center across from the hot baths in Tecopa Hot Springs. If space is desired in the hall, we will pro- vide a table for you but we cannot provide tables for out- side. Wild Horses Still Available In Pahrump Wild horses gathered from the ranges of Nevada are availavle for adoption in Pa[hrump. Twelve weanlings and several yearlings are still available following last Saturday's adoption. Appli- cations for adoption can be obtained from Ron May, a BLM volunteer who is assist- ing the BLM with its Pahrump adoption. The horses can be viewed at 401 W. Mesquite, or call Ron May at (702) 671- 0618 for adoption infornation. The adoption fee is $125 per horse, horses can be re- served on a first-come, first- served basis. Mostofthe horses were removed during the summer' s drought situation on the Nellis Wild Horse Range. Family Preservation Program Family Preservation Pro- gram for families involved in or at risk for family vio- lence. The group explores the issues that cause family violence and learn skills to avoid those issues. While the parents attend classes, the children can be sched- uled for classes with notifi- cation. Master Gardener Program The university of Nevada Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program is an educational program designed t teach volunteers the "how to' s" of gardening in our desert communities. The area's extremes in tem- perature, lack of rainfall and poor soil conditions may be discouraging to residents. But, a bountiful garden and a nice landscape are pos- sible. Master Gardeners pro- vide a vahiable service to the community by helping Cooperative Extension meet the increasing demand for horticulture information.
