We had a lovely group join us for lunch. Even though many of our seniors are on the sick list with colds and the flu, we had a nice turnout. Needless to say, our lunch was fantastic. Our kitchen staffdid themselves proud in preparing the food. Want to add a little spice to your life? Why not consider adopting a puppy or kitten. These precious little pets are available to everyone and the charge to Seniors is only $5. The animals will be spayed or neutered and will receive their rabies vaccination. (702) 372.5413 ,,, Hope all had a great Christmas We had a very successful time at the center, Santa Lizard came to give out presents, if you have never heard the story of Santa Lizard you have really missed something. Thanks to Karrie Coughlin and her mother. We had visitors from Pahrump, and Beatty. All old friends. Ron and LaVonne Selbach were in Reno over the holidays, visiting Dale and Karen Selback, and LaVonne's mother, Lucille Clark. Pat Copeland is sporting a brand new car, boy was Sant [ good to her, great. Sick call: Chris and Clarey Filter are still down, come on guys, get well. Violet Tharp has not been feeling like herself. Believe it or not we have had rain!!! I goofed, (believe it or not) Super Senior Saturday is on the 18 of January. Be there. We need donations of baked goods for this event. Please contact the Senior Center. We also need volunteers to help out, please. On a sad note.., one of our regular Bingo players, Mildred "Mickey" Potter, died in an automobile accident on Friday, December 27,1996. Mickey was a sweet, friendly lady who will really be missed by our group. Our condolences to her family. Special belated Thank You to Jerry Lease, onr Project Coun- cil Chairman, for his donation ofhams for our holiday meals. We appreciate your generosity and want you to know we really have enjoyed the hams. as well as the turkeys given us at Thanksgiving time. it all helped make our holiday s special!
